Really was incredible that he turned Jonathan frickin Crompton into a competent QB in one year. Hell what he did with Blake Sims in 2014 was a coaching job for the ages.

No, Sims was the best QB the second he walked on campus. Coker was a bust and the other guy, nobody even remembers his name.
Lane had jack shite to do with it.
Sims gets credit for Sims, not Lane.

Other than those closest to Butch, is there anyone at Tennessee that's still on his side?
Again, the closest people to him are going to support him no matter what. So more the fans/donors, etc.
