2009 was the single most fun I've had as a VOLS fan since 2001. Lane talking shite to Urban all summer, chasing tail 7 nights a week in the old city, the BLACK jerseys on Halloween, beating the shite out of Spurrier and Richt. There was an attitude about the program (VOLS, bitch) that we had never seen under Fulmer or Majors.
It's hard to explain if you weren't along for the ride, but unless Gruden is hired, I don't think VOLS will ever love a coach more than we did Lane in 2009. We are in essence chasing the dragon trying to recapture the feels we had 8 long years ago.
