Sadly, like their streak against Arkansas, some things are just built into the evil Oompa Loompa of Alabama.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the Marines and the Army is that Marines don't "get over it."

Army guys walk away from being Army guys. Marines typically don't get over being Marines. The change is forever.

"Why in hell can't the Army do it if the Marines can. They are the same kind of men; why can't they be like Marines?"

-- Gen. John J. "Black Jack" Pershing, USA; 12 February 1918

Because they can't. They never have and and they never will.

"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."

--
Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War; --
shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered
to not wear their khaki leggings.

Tarawa, 1943

“The Marines have a way of making you afraid — not of dying, but of not doing your job. ~1LT Bonnie Little, Tarawa, 1943.”

"We have two companies of Marines running rampant all over the northern half of this island, and three Army regiments pinned down in the southwestern corner, doing nothing. What the hell is going on?"

Gen. John W. Vessey Jr., USA, Chairman of the the Joint Chiefs of Staff
during the assault on Grenada, 1983

Academy officers were blowhards. I just like this game because of the offenses.

And i agree you Army bastards will wear cameo anywhere. Have some standards and stop trying to be showoffs.

I think the Army guys like to wear BDU's/utilities because it is easy. And their dress unis look like crap any way.

Chill bro.

I can gaurentee you the only guys watching this game on Camp Schwab were the academy guys.

Nobody enlisted gave a frick about this game it was either Bama, Ohio State or Texas.

Hell, they hardly watched football. I felt out of place because all everyone cared about on base were video games or anime and I just wanted to talk football all the time.
