Stuffy's .... "Good Stuff at Stuffy's"
It was owned by James Maynard of Golden Coral fame. He still comes to a lot of games.
The Big Bird right next door .... a $20 meal ticket would get you a meat and three for an entire week. Greek family - three really good looking daughters.
Under Stuffy's there was Patrone's Billiards. Minnesota Fats and Willie Mosconi held a very famous game of billiard there one time depicted in "The Hustler." I knew the Patrone's very well.

You motherfrickers haven't done didly squat in any of the big three sports since 1994... You got skullfricked by SC last football season, you finished with the same record, and you're trolling them? You have reached a new level of stupid...

Hey fricktard, we didn't play South Carolina last season....you wanna talk about stupid....

Is it me, or does the stadium looked like it shifted left a little bit.

I would be mad to if my stadium was located there.

Were you there in 2012? I know it didn't go well for yall that night, but that was the loudest/craziest I have seen Billy Brice. Even moreso than when we knocked off Alabama in 2010. Any Georgia fan that went that day and says we weren't loud and that wasn't a great atmosphere is lying. BTW, I agree with you about location but it is what it is.
I was there, and it was a great atmosphere for Carolina.

Yeah USC is moving more towards the river. The area around Colonial Life Arena is going to be looking A LOT different in the coming years as well.
They did an amazing job with Assembly St., its to bad the school had to spend the money to make the city of Columbia look better.

City of Columbia is too busy building minor league baseball stadiums and wasting money on other pet projects.
I always laugh when people bitch about USC buying up more land and USC this and USC that. People don't realize the importance USC has to the local economy. This city would be a pile of shite without the university.

I read in The State that they had the groundbreaking for the Greene Street project recently.
That project is going to do wonders for the University and it'll connect campus to all of those student apartment complexes they're building down by the baseball stadium/river.

The city is still a pile of shite, even with the university.

.... as do most flagship universities in most southern capital cities.
It's not just a USC thing.
The stench of hypocrisy is start to waft-a-bit in here. Let's get it under control before it turns into full-blown reek.
