The sad thing is, Bama played their hearts out last night. I give them all the credit in the world for fighting as hard as they did. It was a tough loss but I'd be proud of the team if I was a fan.
Coming out and whining about refs detracts from the effort the Tide put on last night.

It's StepL dude. Come on.
Yea we did play our guts out. We generally do. We just find ways to combine that with being really, really good at finding ways to lose.

Yeah I tend to agree with this sentiment, aside from the fact that I don't believe anything anyone says on a message board actually matters enough to take anything away. But I mean, Arkansas is the better team and they were on their home floor (which is a pain in the arse to play on). Alabama putting in the game they did is encouraging.

That logic generally makes sense, but when you do this 5 times a year for 5 straight years it stops being encouraging and just becomes enraging.

We have some issues we need to correct going forward as well. Rewatch the end of this game and the Clemson game to see how Arkansas has a tendency to get itself in trouble when it comes to closing out games.

Stop it. Alabama basketball is what it is after five years of Grantsketball.

This is not a troll or flame, but why did Trevor Lacey leave Bama? He's looked good this year.

He and Grant never really got along. He was apparently a tad lazy and didn't really like the direction we were going offensively (understandably). Gottfried fit his personality and style better. He was always an uber-talented player, thats why he was a Top 30 guy.
He still doesn't care about playing defense, though. But that works with Gottfried.

Good to know. Thanks.

Going forward, what do you think Grant needs to do to keep his job?

I think if he makes the NCAA Tournament he keeps his job. If he doesn't he gets fired. I think it is as black and white as that. It's a box he has to check off again this year or he's done.

Hmm. We've been lectured to since the inception of this forum that Alabama fans do not complain about officiating. This is quite the bed wetting.

In your lifetime, you will prob never see Bama shoot the three better than they did last nite. I hope you enjoyed it.

The Ernest Shelton/Kennedy Winston teams routinely shot that well, though they were usually at home.

And you shouldn't. StepL is just doing StepL.
