What if Georgia comes out in a dime-like cover 3 to contain Mayfield's downfield pass threat, and allow our All-Conference DL and Butkus award winning linebacker handle your inside run and qb scrambles?

Oklahoma is actually decent against the run, or can be. I'd say what doesn't bode well for Georgia is their general lack of a downfield passing attack. Oklahoma in Big 12 play has to account for every inch of turf because the ball can go anywhere.

If Oklahoma doesn't fear Georgia's passing game, you may be surprised how good they are in the trenches. We have 2 beasts on the DL that could start for any SEC team. And a quick (but skinny) defensive backfield. If they get to play up on the LOS, gonna be hard for Chubb to gain yards.

And you Georgia fans that keep saying we haven't faced a defense, I point you to #6 Texas, #4 TCU x2, and the elite Ohio State defensive front. Plus, going back to last year's final game against Auburn.

say again?

Not impressed with you either. Mayfield's cell phone number got posted and guess who starting blowing up his phone with their bullshite? Georgia fans.....

That's too bad. Baker seems like such a great guy. He doesn't deserve that kind of disrespect.

This is a myth.

Every team we have played has tried this. One succeeded, and then failed the next time.

The problem for Georgia is that the best scoring offense they've faced this season was Missouri.

I mean, you didn't exactly face the guantlet. You played OSU and WVU. We played Mizzou and ND. It's not that big of a difference. We also played AU twice, and MSU who are in the top 40. All very similar to who you guys played.

If you want to see the difference in terms of schedule just look at where the teams you played are ranked defensively.

Georgia needs to win some 50/50 balls in defense. Mayfield is going to throw them. The difference in the game is going to be who catches those 40 yard heaves. Oklahoma has come down with most of them, but I saw Mayfield throw some questionable balls against TCU. The difference between a great pass and an interception is the cornerbacks ball skills

I actually think Fromm is going to light OU up. He's going to have a big day against a really, really bad secondary.

I don't know if it will be enough to win, though. As much as a steaming pile of shite Baker Mayfield is, the dude can play. UGA is going to have to score to win.

I think it's a really interesting matchup. Could go either way for sure.

I generally think fans get too enamored with offense. Mayfield could throw 4 TDs, and UGA could still win if they can get timely stops and run the ball.

Well if you do that you're gonna get run over.

Look at where the teams you've played are ranked offensively and look at the state of your division. That's a thing, whether you accept it or not.

Your OL isn't good enough to do that consistently on our DL and LB's. You'll get a good run here and there, but you aren't going to be able to do it all day.

Georgia will.

I meant to say rushing defense, which those stats are correct.

Nobody in the Big 12 has great pass defense numbers because they face some of the premier passing teams in the nation.

Which can inflate rushing numbers. None of it matters tho. Each team is capable of beating the other. All that matters is who plays the best Jan 1 at 5pm. Very much excited to play an elite qb like Mayfield. Gonna be a great game!

Or maybe the offenses have great passing numbers because they face some of the worse pass defenses in the nation.

I'm pleased with the matchup from a fan perspective because we have never played Oklahoma before and that adds some interest but I have to say, my first impression of their fans here is not to good. They are coming across as douchebags

It did not take you long to find out. :)

Was it really GA fans tho? I can think of a pretty salty Awburn team who would do just this. Most UGA fans are not like that.
