The problem is that no one wants to be a fan of Mississippi State, and a lot of people want to be fan of Georgia. Therefore, your question is dumb and pointless because the answer is obvious.

Actually it isnt, if you keep in mind the fact that Georgia is stagnant at best, while State continues to climb from the place they once were.

Well when you're close to or at the top there isn't much place to go but up, and the harder it gets to rise. When you are somewhere in the mid 50's nation wide, increased success isn't quite as hard to achieve is it? Also, why would anyone want to be a fan of a team that isn't going to rise above 8 wins in the foreseeable future, especially when given the opportunity to be a fan of team 5 yards away from a national championship?

But Georgia always chokes in the big game. thats the point. Despite their caliber, they havent won a national title in decades.
