There's a middle ground somewhere where non-UGA fans admit this isn't that big of a deal and UGA fans admit this behavior continuing is embarrassing for them and their coach who talks to parents daily and says he will take care of their child and establish a "culture" at UGA. Not sure if we will find it here.

What the hell is wrong with this team?!
No consequences for their actions even after people close to them die doing the same stupid shite. It’s win at all costs and it’s not isolated to UGA

As an isolated incident pretty meaningless but given the spotlight it’s is entirely reasonable to question what the frick are they thinking in Athens??? Parking illegally in a handicapped space is about as easy a ticket to write as they come. Failing to take care off that is just shear stupidity. Indicates a complete sense of entitlement. Young folks notoriously have that but given what’s gone on Athens you’d think a sense of self preservation would kick in. It is indicative of how CFB has changed for the worst. It’s happening at UGA and is news because of recent success. It ain’t going to be big deal as long as that success continues…and it’d be the same on 99% of college towns and campuses in the same situation.

It’s not even a super speeder ticket.
Super speeder is anything over 75mph on a two-lane and 85mph on a four-lane.
Super speeder is a separate assessment that comes AFTER a conviction.

None of you get it.. Athens-Clark County freaking hates the students especially the athletes. This isn’t NEW. It’s been happening for decades. Students, especially the football players DO NOT get the same treatment by the local police that other Universities in this conference enjoy.
If there is one person on this board that says they didn’t drive at least 90 on the interstate (70mph) this summer headed somewhere…. You are a liar, plain and simple.

The speeding ticket in this instance was in Franklin County.
One of the other ones recently publicized was in Oconee County.

In a handicapped space. Classy.
If I were a fixer, I would contact the clerk of court and explain that he was injured in practice and told he would get a handi tag but the handi tag office was closed, but the player still thought he was ok to park in the handi spot because he was indeed handi, can we go ahead and get this dropped?
That would be an extremely easy thing for a "fixer" to do.
But that's not what happened.
Because Gantt isn't a "fixer". He is simply a parent figure for players whose parents are hundreds or thousands of miles away. He doesn't "fix" problems, he is the stand-in parent.
Any program that doesn't have this support role is failing their student athletes.

If UGA's "fixer" was as much of a "fixer" as you continue to imply, thread after thread, then why would this player get a bench warrant for a parking violation?
How much was his bond, how long was he there and what happened to the original citations? Did any of this hit his insurance. Fixer doing his job.

I remember when auburn fans used to actually discuss football on this site. What happened?

Well, #1 this is the off-season and arrests are part of that discussion. #2, there is plenty of football being discussed in other threads

Ingram-Dawkins' citation marks at least the 14th time a Georgia player has been charged with speeding or racing/reckless driving since the Jan. 15 fatal crash in Athens that killed offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy
Still gonna have to play us this year. I'm sorry.

Still gonna have to play us this year. Even in Knoxville. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.

It's embarrassing.
At the same time, if the deaths hadn't occurred we would not know much about these things.
Deaths have not occurred elsewhere at other universities involving their athletes. Just saying.
Racing and superspeeders need to be dealt with by Kirby more severely. Those other speeding tickets are nothing more than what happens all the time to many people.

How long do you think is an appropriate amount of time for someone to spend in jail on a bench warrant for an unpaid parking ticket totaling $150?
What do you think bond should be for the crime of not paying a $150 parking ticket on time?
Why would an insurance company give a frick about a parking violation?
