Exactly, that is my biggest concern regarding Chubb. I have no doubt he will be healthy by the time SEC play coming rolling in but some RBs are never able to get back to the same form. I don't expect that to be the case but is a possibility.

Curious to see how he fares against UNC.

well that's the thing. He very well may only get about 5 carries against them because there's no real NEED to rush him before we need him. Sony should be just fine as the primary ballcarrier, epseically considering what UNC did against the run in their last game.

Next week we have nicholls state, same thing. Maybe get him 5-10 carries to get his feet wet.

Next week is Missouri. SEC opponent on the road, good chance to keep getting him reps. Maybe 10-15 but wouldn't surprise me if Sony was still getting the majority.

We don't really need him til ole miss, and at that point assuming no physical setbacks I dont' see why we should be worried abotu him.

Ordinarly I'd agree, hell we saw it just recently with keith marshall.

But if there's one thing any UGA fan will tell you, it's that chubb isn't ordinary. Yeah yeah, every team will tell you the same thing about several guys on their team. But it's true. I wouldn't put ANYTHING past chubb that he puts his mind to.

A few posts back I put what I thought may be logical as far as bringing him back slowly, but on the other hand it wouldn't surprise me in teh SLIGHTEST bit to see him get 20 carries in game 1 and look damn good doing it.

Our defense should be nasty, as usual - the obvious question is how much pressure will the offense put on them this year.

I don't think anyone could make any kind of rational argument that Del Rio could be any worse than Treon. By default, just about any QB should be better than what we saw out of Harris last year. If LDR can be a game manager and make some plays when we need him to, then we're already miles ahead of where we were the second half of last season.

Lots of question marks on offense for us - anyone that thinks they know what to expect, for better or for worse, is kidding themselves. We have some great looking WR talent coming in, but they're all new (Callaway will be back very soon, and he's a proven weapon). Our RBs have great potential, but they haven't proven much in the SEC. Del Rio has the ability to be very good, but we'll have to see it first.

Could be a 7-8 win year, but it could be so much more than that too.

UT or UGA will win the division. I guess UF has a small chance.

TN and Georgia have pretty much equivalent talent if you look at the last 3 classes. (Don't count 4 years ago because a lot of those best players have already declared early and in NFL).

UGA has been 6, 6 and 9 for an average of 7
TN has been 5, 5 and 15 for an average of 8
UF has been 8, 23 and 14 for an average of 15
SC has been 17 , 19 and 28 for an average of 21

Total 4 stars
UGA - 33
UF - 26
TN - 39
SC - 28

Total 5 stars
UGA - 6
UF - 4
TN - 7
SC - 0
