Tell me about Kamari Lassiter.
I like what I’ve seen from him so far. He’s off to a great start here in Houston. (His response was hilarious when he found out in the press conference for the first time that Demeco went to Bama. )
Would love to hear from y’all what to expect from him? What are strengths, weaknesses, where you’d line him up, etc?

Wasn't a top 15 pick only because he missed the mark on his 40 yard dash times and has shitty hands and ball skills. Other than that he was a legitimate lockdown man-to-man cornerback in college and definitely looks the part on TV.

He’ll prob get a look at nickel. From what I understand, he’s solid in run support and physical tackling. They say he has better football speed than the 40 yd dash, as evidence by his performance against some good SEC to NFL WRs.
I want to hear more from UGA fans also

He will defend about 80% of routes perfectly.
He struggles with those Andy Reid routes (streaking at a 45° angle to the opposing sideline). My opinion is that those routes often require recovery speed to get back on top or in the hip.

He can do both.
The question is are you weak at corner or nickel (where do you need him most?).
We often put Lassiter in the slot when the offense went 3x1 (with the tight end isolated on one side) and Kamari did great.
I personally see him as a corner who can help make your defense more multiple. But I am admittedly not an NFL fan. It is a different game than college and I know my limitations in player crossover.

They threw away from him for 2 years, and he is a team-first competitor. Said fock off to the prevailing theory and played in the bowl game. He will be a very good player in the NFL.

He was targeted a lot in 2022.
But to your credit, he did great. And offenses by seasons end were not as aggressive to him. You start to see Kelee Ringo's tackles per game go up by seasons end.
