Problem with QC is that he wouldn't be demonstrating on field coaching abilities. :/ Has he outright said he's unwilling to be a GA? So far, all the discussion seems to have stemmed from him making a few public statements about being interested in helping... *hopefully* Kirby has at least talked to him about possible options. He's one of my all time favorites and would love to see him coaching for us, but not before he's shown that he'd actually be a valuable member of the staff from a coaching perspective.

I thought QC guys were allowed to coach on the practice field, but maybe not. None of the interviews said anything about becoming a GA, but I am just assuming he wouldnt want to take grad classes nearly 20 years removed from college.

QC cant coach on the field.
I'd rather see him as the director of on campus recruiting.

The rules do say that, but I could have sworn Schumann was coaching on the practice field for Bama. Perhaps I misread the stuff folks were saying about him.

Head coaches not position..I agree that he shouldn't be just anointed the job.. On the other hand there have been a lot of former players who made great positional coaches some even greater head coaches. I grew up watching Captain Come Back(Jim Harbaugh) a gritty Qb who just willed wins in the NFL and, even now I think that Bailey caught that hail Mary in the end zone. Harbaugh got a shot and has proven he can develope Qbs.. I see hinds ward in the same mold, a lot more talented but, just an overall tough football player.. You know not the wow type of NFL athlete. I'm positive he could coach the position the right way as they say. He should start off on special teams Ward would knock the snot out of you so this would be a great start. And I'm not saying it has to be UGA
