I think most UGA fans consider Marshall a thug because he was caught stealing from his teammates, not mainly because of the marijuana issue. I don't think anyone could spin this in a positive way. The kid needs to grow up. Anytime you're booked for this at 3:20 in the morning you aren't just making a mistake, you're choosing a poor way to live your life. Just sucks because our basketball program actually looked like it was on the rise and this will set it back a little bit.

All of this. Marshall's marijuana issue was a non-issue for me personally.

It should be noted that most of the UGA fans in that thread were laughing at the Auburn fans that seem to think their athletes are choir boys just because so much shite is never shown in the light on the Plains. I don't think anyone in that thread from any fanbase was seriously calling Nick Marshall anything more than a dumbass.

al.com ran a story of Marshall's past problems yesterday, and Marshall's grandmother was quoted as saying he was just a lookout. Other players actually did the stealing. You Georgia fans owe him an apology for falsely accusing him of being a thief

His foot was CLEARLY on the line - we should have lost.
