WTF, you're an idiot. Looks like Ohio State didn't want to play Georgia. Not the other way around.

You don't know how to read. OSU couldn't confirm exact dates, so they couldn't finalize on a contract. Therefore, no contract is in place, so OSU had to back out of the arrangement. You can't play a game unless you have a date, and these things were all too hypothetical.

I really only brought it up because it seems the AD is against Urban, not Ohio State

Yet, you just said it seems like UGA is the one trying to pull out.

The buckeye seems to be trolling with this thread. If OSU couldn't confirm dates that far in advance, then they are the ones who made this choice. The article linked above just confirms that it's not gonna happen.

How in the blue hell does it seem that way? Thsi thread hasn't gone on very long, how could you already have forgotten these 2 points?

Well the story is from yesterday, and it says UGA will not play OSU because of Urban. That sounds like wetting the bed and not wanting to play OSU in the future.

What? McGarity straight up said that there was an understanding but that it got cancelled and Urban basically squashed any chance of rescheduling something.

McGarity was the Assistant AD at UF when Urbie was there and Urban is quoted (in third person, like a total douche I might add) in one of his books as being irreparably harmed in the vaginal region over UGA dancing in the endzone in 2007.

This is all on Ohio State's coach. Just take the championships with his being a genuinely subpar person and you'll be good to go.

I'm talking about how UGA will not play OSU in the future. There is no deal in place that UGA is backing out of. I want to know why UGA wants no piece of Urban/OSU in the future

Edit: I am not trying to troll. I want to know if it is an OSU thing, or an Urban thing

No, that's what you inferred. What is said was "once urban got there the deal was off the table". It doesn't go into specifics on why. You make the assumption that our AD is scared and would do everything in his power to avoid playing that coach. But could it not be possible that once Urban got there he and his AD have already set a plan in place of future potential matchups they want and UGA wouldn't be able to fit in? That is realistic, and would go along with the phrase in question.

Actually it sounds like tOSU's coach squashing any attempts to rejuvenate a future series. We're actively scheduling games against other high profile opponents (including Notre Dame next year). That's how all of this was even drudged back up.

ETA: that is funny, but I almost wish you hadn't brought it up because now we're going to get 4 pages from dumbasses thinking richt ordered the team to do it. Although it's been a few months so I guess it might be time for that regularly scheduled programming. When is the next uga/au flame fest scheduled?

I mean, we're talking about the same douche coach that said this about Tebow:

quote:

The problem with Tim, and this is the only problem, he creates so much conversation and distraction that I think that spooks some teams….

Right. And the only problem with Aaron Hernandez is that bad people are attracted to being his friends.

I'm not a Meyer fanboy, but he won a NC and is a hell of a coach. He's the coach of my school, so I have to support him.

I don't think I would want to play UGA in the next atleast 5 years. Do alittle research and see whats goin on over there right now. We are looking at a Alabama type run at the championship.

semantics

they still backed out on having a game.

Usually not mutually beneficial for two top 10 programs to face one another outside of championship/bowl season.
