Jelks never named a booster. There was hard evidence he turned over to the NCAA. He wanted back into the Nation and knew you guys would believe anything.

(Note : auburn folks believe Bama boosters paid Eric)

Unless I am mistaken he produced evidence he was paid by one Corky Frost.

I know they believe we paid Eric.I would not be shocked but as far as I know no specific claims or evidence was produced.

Correct

Incorrect. Au booster turned over evidence, Jelks talked with them.

He had a rough life, ended up homeless and drug riddled. One can only blame themselves for the path they take. Having said that, he did seek out teammates recently to try to make amends, and I believe many reached back out to him. And yes, some Au folks thought Bama boosters paid Ramsey, which is why Jelks was sought out to begin with, as retaliation in some of those boosters' eyes.

Jerry Pulliam in his suit produced bank records claiming one Stan Kreimer (sp)an attorney and known AU booster funnelled $37,000 to Gene Jelks.

I know what the Aubs thought about Ramsey but I have never seen anything specific about Bama boosters paying him.

I'm sure it is.....I'm sure the scumbag p.o.s. boosters who paid him and put him up to it are well known to you.

Auburn fans should just STFU about Updyke until they examine their own fans behavior.

Right or wrong AU boosters believe Bama boosters bankrolled Ramsey. Ramsey's attorney who worked for months probono and never received a dime was in fact a Bama alum, Donald Watkins.

Therefore, an AU booster decided you frick with us, we frick with you.

Bama deserved it regardless. They were buying recruits and paying players same as AU was. You can't be a hipocrite when you go down that road.

And no, we will never argh about updyke or you crazy frickers killing each other over games.

Like it or no that does not go on with AU alums or any other fanbase in sports because no fanbase in the world is as fricktarded as Bamas.

Dude.....you are way off in your understanding if you think Bama boosters where paying Ramsey....the Ramsey situation was AU's own making.....you guys had your p4p thing up and running with Colonial as the ATM......Bama boosters had nothing to do with it.....whereas we all know who was paying Jelks....

Auburn was dirty and Bama was too.....the difference is we didn't try to to burn down your program.

Bama fans have certainly tried to burn down AUs program. Many times. And AU has repaid the favor recently.

Bet you did not know that Bama coaches were responsibly for AUs probation in 1957 did you?

Auburn was responsible for Auburn's tainted NC in '57.

This is the typical paranoid behavior of the Auburn man when it comes to Bama.....Ramsey was pissed at Dye for whatever reason, exposes the whole rotten scheme, and yet it somehow all comes back to Bama. Oh and Watkins is the Johnny Cochran of Birmingham who saw an opportunity and grabbed it. Frost gave him the perfect 60 Minutes piece when he lectured Eric about being a ni**er playing at AU.....had nothing to do with Bama.

I have heard we turned AU in back in 57.Since then I can't think of a specific episode where we tried to get them in trouble.

Auburn hasn't stopped coming after Alabama since.

Operation Red Dog comes to mind in recent times.

Stick your head in the sand. Bama would never try to getAU in trouble.

And obviously you are ignorant of 1957.

Look I know you are trying to make Bama look better by trying to deflect and all, but it doesn't matter.

At least I am honest. Or maybe I am just smarter than you. I am obviously better informed. Doesn't matter though. End of the day, Bamas fan base will always be well below AUs in about every way imaginable as a whole. Too many fricktarded idiots and too little self esteem in the Bama fanbase so too much emphasis on winning at any and all costs and crazed acts when thingsddon't work out.

Just reality and sorry you wound up a Bama fan in the first place.

Well, at least you are better informed than your brethren. It is all pretty well documented in detail for those who have lookedd into it.

Anyway, I don't have anymore to say here, so moving on.

I SAID we turned you in in 1957. What more do you want?

I also said I had no knowledge of any other time we did. If you have examples pray enlighten us all since you say you are well informed. I am willing to listen.

I think IMO your problems with Watkins and Ramsey were more race related than anything else. Can't say I have read anything other than general claims that Alabama was behind it.

If we were BOTH paying players (probably true)and it turns out we were NOT behind the Ramsey deal(IMO that was the case) then how did we deserve retaliation?

We own the sidewalk nation and it's our cross to bear. That comes from Bama's success going all the way to the leather helmet days....we are the flagship of the state you guys have won exactly twice in in the history of football with a 53 year gap between titles. Sorry we have way more fans including the crazy ones. Bama will always be the glamorous gold standard with the rock star coaches and we all know it.

As far as inferior, we all know that the state aristocracy has always attended Bama and the peasants and farmers to Auburn. AU is also a refuge for the kids who can't handle the social pressure at the Capstone. Always has been, always will be....attending AU was simply unthinkable.

I always felt sorry for Capps...he was what he was and did the best he could.

It was a bad time at Alabama. Today Capps probably couldn't get a scholly at UAB much less Bama but he was asked to do something he just could not do.

+1 ... irritates the hell out of me when 'bama fans' put down someone who didn't live up to their glorified expectations ... people still put down spencer pennington ... guy was 3rd string on a bad team ... was never supposed to be a starter, yet he played his arse off and had bama within a completed pass of winning a bowl game ...
