Kent State is at #17. If they win Saturday, they will most certainly move ahead of UCLA when the Bruins lose to Stanford again, giving them an automatic berth due to finishing ahead of an AQ conference champion (Big East). That means that the Orange will get stuck with Kent State, the Big East winner will bump up to the Sugar, and Oklahoma and Clemson will be SOL. Maybe the Gators will at least get Geno Smith and make it an interesting game.

Kent State will go to the Orange Bowl. Love that FSU will get shitty competition.

Yeah, but how much better will Rutgers be?

Hate to tell you this, but Geno Smith doesn't play in the Big East anymore.

I'm pretty sure Kent St would be taking the Big East's spot.

Yeah...Dummy me. Bridgewater though. Great QB.

So we would get either Rutgers, Louisville, or OU?

They don't get the Big East's spot. They get one of the at-large bids. There would then be only 2 at large bids...Florida and Oregon...if Kent gets in.

Considering that they barely beat Bowling Green, ULaLa and Missouri I'd say this level of competition suits them.

No. The Orange picks last and will get stuck with Kent. The Sugar picks next to last and will have to take the Big East champ. Oklahoma and Clemson will be left out in the cold.

Quite frankly I don't think it will matter if they win or lose, if they lose isn't NIU (the team that will have beaten them) now in the discussion?

Perhaps...but then NIU would have to be in the top 16, and right now they are 21. It's certainly possible, but may be a bit more difficult to make that kind of jump.

We're gonna be stuck with a shitty unranked opponent in the cotton bowl or 8-4 Michigan in the Cap 1.

I'd actually like the chance to take Kent State to the woodshed. Would be 48-0 midway through the 2nd. Embarrass their asses and the BCS rules at the same time.

I'd very much like to see Kent State do that to FSU

It not just the Gators, look at the possible match ups and bowls for LSU, USCe, Bama/Georgia and the Aggots. Best one may be the chick fil a vs. Clemson.

From what I saw Saturday, Kent St. might beat FSU.

If it's aTm vs Clemson, I'll bet the over/under in that game will be 120.
