If you honestly think Danielson's an idiot, then you're an idiot.

It's funny seeing Arky fans suddenly switch their tune on offensive style when Petrino wasn't exactly known for his defensive prowess.

You guys didn't have an issue when Bobby was slinging the ball around but now that's Bert's brought his brand of big, slow football you guys are all about hard nose, physical play.

I'll admit I was excited about Auburn going back to more of a pro-style game...then I saw Scott Leoffler, Clint Mosely and Keihl Frazier about 2 games and immediately wanted Gus back!

We were also a power I team under center...We were in no hurry to run plays. BP just didn't/doesn't give a shite about defense or had a DC that could adjust to the way they prepared

Edit: I love BP's offense...but even though we are still building back the program, I like what BB does more as a whole compared to BP

He's just pissed that he has to learn a bunch of new offensive terminology and that he's too old to keep up w/HUNH teams.

I've tried to block them from my memory along with everything in 2012 but sometimes the repressed memories come back.

However, the days of shutdown, 3-2 , defensive slug fest are gone.

While that may be true, those were terrible teams that never made a bowl.

I have always thought Bert's brand of football was the way to go. We were sorta there with Nutt except he could never develop a QB or effective passing game to compliment the run and balance out the offense. Petrino's offenses were fun and effective, and often balanced, but his offense puts too much on the shoulders of a QB. You can't line up in shotgun and pass the ball 60%+ of the time against Bama or else your QB will eat dirt - just like Wilson and Allen did against Bama.

I don't wanna see college football become the NFL, with a rule book completely rigged to favor the offense, such that every game is a 35-42 affair.

The same type of drooling retards who want to see a TD every play are the morons who go to the movies to see CGI and explosions.

Arena football is boring as shite, football is more interesting when there's actual drama.

TD's are only exciting when they mean something, you don't want to turn them into scoring a layup in basketball.

Anybody with a football IQ above 80 should be able to easily tell the difference between a low scoring game because both teams are terrible vs. a low scoring game because both teams are awesome.

I also think GD is an idiot. But I think teams often want for what they don't have. Under Tubbs I was satisfied but hated that the offense took the foot off the gas so often. I loved how CSS at UF always went for the kill. Now we have an offense that goes for the kill and I miss the defenses we had under Tubbs. The irony of all of the talk about Gus is that when his offense works best he runs over people. For HUNH that is what I appreciate about Gus, it is run first which IMO works best in the long run.
