almost felt guilty...?

South Carolina 31 Ohio State 28...Jan 1, 2002

- Gamecocks led 28-0 after the first 40 minutes of the game. Carolina mentally checked out and OS scored 28 straight (21 in 4Q) to tie it up. Sheldon Brown intercepted an intended throwaway pass on 3rd down with under a minute in regulation and returned it back into OS territory. it set up USC to kick a 42 yard FG that barely passed over the cross bar as time expired to win.

truth be told, a loss like that couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base than the suckeyes

Wasn't that the AJ Greene phantom celebration call?

Charles Scott was called for the same thing. UGA fans like to forget that.

For me it's a few:
2001 Alabama - dominated the whole game, and skip Holtz decided to run a 5 wide spread the last quarter and ended up throwing for 300 yards to win 37-36
2013 Mizzou: yeah, I hate them. But I felt bad for them after that one.
2002 (bowl game for 01) Ohio State: it's like hanging candy over a baby, letting him grab it; and before he started to lick it, snatch it back from him and run away laughing.

This, except 2012 doesn't really count as they were just awful. 2013 wasn't that close and was Bert's first year. For '14 and '15 OT games, though, A&M is damn lucky that Bert seems to take 6 or so games to get things really going.

Honorable mention to Ole Miss 2012 and 2013, both in Oxford. I felt like A&M just stole those, with a solid assist from Freeze's bonehead coaching.

I would feel bad for the Dallas Baker slap but it was a make up for the Gaffney "catch."

On a side note,
Auburns should definitely be LSU 2006

don't agree with 2010. We were in field goal range to tie the game. Les did run a trick play to try to win instead of tie, but it's not like we couldn't have easily just tied the game and let it be decided in OT. Tennessee 2010 is the correct answer

We lost, then we won. Dooley was at midfield celebrating and had to coach another play.

The only time I've ever felt an ounce of sympathy for Vols.

But why did you have to score a TD?

Because y'all had played better than us leading up to 5:00 in the 4Q. I'm not denying that, and it was clear the Charles Scott call was a horrendous attempt at a make-up. I was just stating that the situations were far different than just the 23 seconds that ran off the clock.

I don't think that is any sort of hot take save some members of your fan base.

You can feel guilty about a win all you want slick. I don't have that type mentality.
