The worst of it will be gone by Saturday. I'd just delay the game a few hours if I was making the call.

Except for when it's actually happening. Like now.

Graph shows Miami in a TS warning too. They canceled classes and aren't moving the game. Are FSU fans coming unglued about not moving it to Tallahassee? Or does Miami just know nothing about hurricanes? What's the narrative here?

I suspect this is the correct answer.

Miami is now under a hurricane warning for today. 48hrs is a lot more manageable prep as opposed to 12 hrs.

They also have NFL resources for their stadium. And a roof.

This past week has made one thing clear - unless you live in LA or coastal Texas, Mississippi, or Alabama, the general public has absolutely no clue how hurricanes work and the devastation they can bring.

The fact that people continue to repeat how nice the weather will be on Saturday at game time is fricking ludicrous.

Did Miami redo their stadium? Had no idea they had a roof.

Honest question: if the eye actually makes landfall, doesn't that usually slow the travel speed of the hurricane down? Meaning it could be lingering around longer than everyone has thought?
