Doesn't Vandy have a winning record vs Auburn?

He can't post about that or his Auburn board privileges will be revoked

Oh...I guess you get kinda lonely over there

I'm just glad we have a Vandy fan on the board. We need all the help we can get to raise the collective is of the rant.

My favorite Vandy-related SEC trivia:

Paul Bryant brought the University of Alabama it's very first AP/UPI National Championship in 1961. The following season, on November 10th, 1962, the Tide defeated Miami 36-3 in Tuscaloosa for their 400th gridiron victory.

It was the first date in Crimson Tide history in which they had more football wins than Vanderbilt, who had 399 at the time, tops amongst SEC schools. The following Saturday, the Dores beat Tulane for their sole win that year, while Bama fell to Georgia Tech in Atlanta, leaving both teams tied at 400 wins exactly.

Since that date, Bama has won 470 games to Vandy's 192.

And considering what is coming Nov 5th, I'm trying to save up all the good will that I can. It might get ugly if Auburn finds a way not to even up the series. Hell, I had people calling for my removal after I tried to discuss a Vandy win in basketball last year.

Or that beating UGA this year is about like beating UK or SC...and we failed to win either of the other games. It's definitely a positive, but it's nothing historical.

It was 110 years ago today to VANDY!

And to think Verne Lundquist was only 37 years old at the time.

I think I read earlier today that Alabama's coach wanted to cancel or postpone the game because 7 of our 11 players were injured. Vandy refused, so we still managed to play the game.

Congrats Vandy. It would only be about 20 more years that our tradition of championships was born. Jan 1, 1925 we beat UW in the Rose Bowl. Bear Bryant was 13 years old listening to it on the radio and decided he would go to Bama that day. History was made that would change Alabama football forever. Coach Wade to coach Bryant and then to coach Saban cause I'm sure without Bear Bryant we don't get Saban.

Thanks for bringing up CFB history. We have so much of it.

This is true. Where was that SIAA depth? Sounding like a bunch of UT fans now. 7 of 11? 17 of 22? What's with all the excuses?
