If he had gotten rid of cam cameron and truly tried to fix the offense, he would have possibly bought himself another few years. It was the same old thing with every O coordintor under miles though. I like to think that Cameron was better than his tenure at LSU suggests.

Les was absolutely a great coach. He just stopped winning the games that everyone expected LSU to win and it was enough to get the boot.

I'm sure there are a lot of power 5 programs that would be happy with our record the last 3.3 seasons (29-13

Look at his record in the SEC west and the teams he beat for those 29 wins. Not indicative of a great coach especially one as you say that pull in top classes annually and have future pro bowlers.

nvm not feeding the troll tonight. Think what you want. You're one of the unrealistic ppl who think LSU should win every game for eternity and yell fire the coach after every loss in every sport.

He was

He gave us some great seasons of football. Yes he inherited incredible talent, he also maintained that for a decade, and had those squads as competitive as anyone in the country for 8 of those years.

Hell the best regular season in LSU football and arguably college football history happened in his 7th year at the helm.
The man went 11 seasons without losing an OOC regular season game, while playing some elite competition all throughout that stretch.

This is wasn't a one or two year lucky stretch, it was the type of team LSU got used to fielding.

He is not capable of running that type of program any more. He is too engrained in his ways to adapt with the league. He was a great coach

No just like to see a offense that snaps the ball before play clock runs out.

A offense that can move from the opponents 45 yard line with 2 minutes left and score before time runs out.

A offense that gets across the 50yd line by half time.

I think u get the picture. Look if you enjoyed watching LSU football the last 3 years then I am sorry your hero got fired. I was ready for a change.

I never said shite about Les being my hero. Look at my posts. Stop making stupid shite up to try and try to comprehend what I wrote. The game clearly passed him up. It was beyond time for him to go. Now go be stupid somewhere else.

He clearly doesn't understand the meaning of using a word in past tense.

Dude... You need to take a breather. Everything he is saying is perfectly reasonable.

Les Miles was a great coach. You see, the tricky thing about the English language is that we have all these words and tenses. At time they can sound the same and look the same but have different meanings. In this case, his use of the word "was" indicates his belief that at some point in the PAST (it's a tense thing, past tense to be precise), Les Miles was a good coach. That is an opinion, of course, but one that is difficult to mount a successful case against.
