The committee is supposed to rank the teams by how good they think they are, correct? If they don't think FSU is the best team in college football, then they shouldn't be #1.

Stupid post is stupid. If you think that Alabama, Miss. State, Oregon, Ohio State can't beat FSU, you have no business being here. Would they in a one time game at a neutral site? Who knows? But to say they can't is just plain idiotic.

And I'll even toss in TCU and Baylor for good measure.

Does the way they play kind of indicative of point shaving in progress?

They haven't really played anyone this entire year.

Okie State: 5 - 5, (3 - 4)

Clemson: 7 - 3, (whooped by Georgia Tech)

NC State: 5 - 6 (2 - 5)

Wake For: 2 - 8 (0 - whatever)

Syracuse: 3 - 7 (1 - 5)

Notre Dame: 7 - 3 (lost to Northwestern)

Louisville: 7 - 3 (lost to Virginia)

Virginia: 4 - 6

Miami: 6 - 4

W: 46

L: 45

vs. Bama

WVU: 6 - 4

Florida: 5 - 4

Ole Miss: 8 - 2

Arkansas: 5 - 5

A&M: 7 - 4

Tenn: 5 - 5

LSU: 7 - 4

MSU: 9 - 1

Auburn: 7 - 3

Leaving Auburn off:

W: 52

L: 30

The SOS isn't even remotely close.

Of course not you idiot. It's a playoff of the top 4, you're facing murders' row no matter what match up you get. What's the difference between playing any of the top 4 in any order. All 4 of these teams could beat each other on the night.

But they should be #1

Can't really disagree. But here's the thing. The committee is not going to allow an all SEC championship. FSU should be 1, but that would put them playing Ms. State. Bama/Oregon in other bracket. Not happening. If Ms. State and Bama make the final final 4, then they will face each other in the playoff game, eliminating one SEC team from the championship.

IMO, that has been their intention all along should 2 teams make it all the way to the final 4. I don't think 2 make it if they can find any way around it.

This is stupid. If they win all their games, they will be in the playoff and have a chance to prove they are the best team again.

Objectively however, I don't see how anyone can argue they aren't significantly worse than last year. Last season they DESTROYED damn near every team they played. Winston sat out an entire half like six times.

Eh, idk. Haven't really lent much credence to that line of speculation myself, tbh

If they are, they're playing with fire, but I'm of the thinking that there's a little too much on the line to afford to do that.

They beat a 5-5 OSU team by 6, a 7-3 Clemson team in OT, a 7-3 Notre Dame team by 4, and a 6-4 Miami team by 4. Yes, I believe there's 4 teams out there that can beat FSU.

Hell, there's 4 teams in the SEC that can beat them.

Stupid post #2 is also stupid. "Snubbed" is being left out. And you think playing MSU or OSU would be a walk in the park?

Of course teams COULD beat other teams. If they couldn't then we wouldn't play any games.

What I was saying is the only reason FSU wouldn't be favored in games (if they weren't) is because of public perception. I fully believe FSU COULD beat any team in the country

Having said that, they haven't lost a game in 2 years. They are the defending national champs

What they did last year should, and doesn't have any bearing on what they are doing this year.

The perception of the ACC is that it is really weak (and it is). That being said, they haven't only struggled away but at home.

They can be irate all they want. It won't matter. If they win out, they are in as it should be. Look at it this way, even if they get pushed to number 4 they'd have the exact same matchup as if they were number 1.

With the way they've played, I would go as far as to say that six teams have a chance, 2 would probably blast them and 4 have a good chance.

They have not been that good this year.

I think you need to watch FSU play. They have looked like a decent team, not the #1 team in the nation. On top of that, they haven't played a single team that would finish higher than mid pack in the SEC. What they did last year means shite for this year. jmo

exactly, if "last year" mattered, then we'd have the 1966 National Title.

BamaGrad the almighty, forgive me for my stupidity.

They should feel snubbed about not being #1 for the same reason all you bammers are beating your chest because you ARE number one.

MSU and OSU certainly wouldn't be an easy win, but i would certainly prefer to play them over bama or Oregon.

I know it's a loooooong shot but, do you think UF can get up for one last farewell win for Champ? I would love to see UF knock them off and get them out of the picture.
