I grew up in Mississippi. That is all pretty much true.
Ole Miss comprises the pretentious wanna-be's on the backs of others. Miss. St. is full of people who are far more grounded. Of course, these are generalizations. There are always lots of exceptions. I am talking more about the overall way of things at each school.
Ole Miss has the law/medical schools.
Miss. St. has the agriculture/engineering schools.
The differences are cultural in the state, to be sure.
It is much like Alabama and Auburn, honestly.

I call horse shite, I know just as many pretentious, jerk-off, wanna-be State fans as Ole Miss. The whole "holier than thou" simply because you're a State fan and not an Ole Miss fan is played out as hell.

Actually no. Miss state fans are from Mississippi. Ole miss fans are from Texas Georgia and North Carolina and could not get into the state school of choice.
