Good facilities are good for recruiting, so if a school like OM already recruits better, why would facilities matter? Got to think our expectations are in the same league as theirs as far as happy with moderate consistent success. The kicker is we get to compare ourselves to MSU which will always make us feel better as long as we have the edge. Even more contentedness

Mississippi State is going to beat Arkansas again this year.

Speaking of NW Arkansas, Mullen needs to retire up in the Ozarks after his coaching days are over.. He can give the state back some of those millions that they have secured for him the last half decade.

LSU should just worry about beating Arkansas.
If Arkansas beats that arse again this year, Miles may lose his job.

Naw. As long as they pull an upset over A&M in their Super Bowl, he keeps his job.

I'm gonna bite down on this lure.

How is this remotely related? The fan base has been livid pissed since 1/9 despite winning a ton of games and we almost fired our coach last year.

You forgot to mention that LSU is our Super Bowl, no Arkansas flame thread is complete without the op claiming their school is Arkansas' Super Bowl.

a&m is looking like a hell of a job too. 5 mil/yr with no reduced buy out. and a hell of a lot better pool of high school athletes to recruit from.

of course, you have to live in college station. there is no question that NW Arkansas is a better place to live. the natural beauty and the climate are excellent and there are restaurants other than Mexican.

then there's Vanderbilt. great money, very low expections and living in by far the best SEC city. if fact, if I was kevin sumlin my dream would be for a&m to fire me, pay the 20+ mil buy out and then go to Vandy making half that. one can live very well making 2.5 mil in Nashville, esp after banking the aggie buy out. taxes are much less in Tennessee and Alcohol is too.

There is not another program in the SEC that is decent enough to consistently make bowls, yet so historically average/mediocre that the fanbase is thrilled with 6-8 win type seasons.

Just look at what Bielema has done (doesn't take long), and the fanbase loves him.

Good facilities that allow you to bring in top 30 recruiting classes, and a couple 4 stars. Good enough program to win 8 games in a good year, 9 if they can beat MAC schools, and a fanbase more than satisfied with that ceiling.

There is a lot of truth to this. Same reason why I think Colorado and North Carolina are the two best jobs in college football.

it's not our fault you're full of a bunch of titty babies that can't get over bama. you know bama and their superiority- the one lsu aspires to be and really thought they were for a few years but then reality set in and now it's time to admit to yourselves that you're not even close to being them.

regarding the op- i'd say besides being in a recruiting hotbed lsu has one huge advantage over the rest of the sec as far as from a coaching perspective. the applicants don't even have to have the verbal skills of a kindergartener. on the flip, the coach would probably need to be concerned over whether their paycheck would bounce because of the poor poor poor and more poor nature of lsu and louisiana.
