From a coaches perspective, Arkansas is the best job in the SEC.

There is not another program in the SEC that is decent enough to consistently make bowls, yet so historically average/mediocre that the fanbase is thrilled with 6-8 win type seasons.

Just look at what Bielema has done (doesn't take long), and the fanbase loves him.

Good facilities that allow you to bring in top 30 recruiting classes, and a couple 4 stars. Good enough program to win 8 games in a good year, 9 if they can beat MAC schools, and a fanbase more than satisfied with that ceiling.

Same thing could be said about LSU since 2008.

LSU should just worry about beating Arkansas.
If Arkansas beats that arse again this year, Miles may lose his job.

NWA is a great place to live with a cheaper cost of living to boot.

True. Any LSU coach who loses 3 in a row to a mediocre program will always have their job in jeopardy - such is life for coaches of elite schools.

This thread is directed at Aggy, isn't it?

Pretty much...AGGY

Elite schools don't need a bowl game to get to 9 wins

sorry

You might be correct in terms of amenities vs pressure to win but for elite coaches who want to recruit and win at the highest level, not so much.

Started by an LSU fan. Therefore rant logic dictates that yes, it must be about Aggy.

Can you list all the schools that have never won less than 9 games in a single regular season in history?

TIA

Congratulations

I have submitted this post to the committee and you are now in the running for a Nobel Prize for Literature... You have to beat out 25 other essays in order to finish in the top 4.

I shudder to think what our fans would have done if we had to lost to Toledo and Tech back to back last year

One of the downfalls of having teams capable of winning titles, some years you will naturally underachieve.

As a fan of a team that can't win titles, thus never any real expectations, I'm sure that concept is incomprehensible.
