I think about 55% of Texans consider themselves "east". West Texas doesn't comprise more than 10 - 12 percent. "Central" and/or "Hill Country" can't mean more than 20%. Bottom Line = everyone east of Austin/San Antonio will admit to being "east" if one presses the issue. This includes DFW and Houston. So this includes probably at least 50% I'm thinking.
