Texas State girls are known for their partying and loose morals. San marcos can be a good time.

I forgive him, because my belief system teaches me to do so.
But Franchione was an unethical embarrassment to our university and was a man who was loathed by his players.
A slimeball.

Fate always comes home to roost, doesn't it, Coach?

I don't know who Fran conned the most, the Alabama players or the A&M admin that hired him. I'm sure he told that admin what a miracle it was for him to win 10 games there. Ha.

I don't hate Fran for leaving Alabama. I do believe that he was probably misled about how bad the sanctions were going to be (though he still didn't have to run off in the night).

I hate Fran because he literally quite preparing and coaching before the Mississippi State and Auburn games.

this times a million. I always thought of them as surfer chicks (maybe because all the surfer chicks from my high school went there). Never had a bad time in San Marcos

Not sure about that Miss State game. We won that one and then we shutout LSU the next week.

I do firmly believe that he didn't prepare for that Auburn game. Even the players says that he was MIA a lot that week. Anyone who watched us play that year would recognize how out of character our gameplan was against Auburn that day. Kudos to AU for coming out and playing with fire with their 3rd string RB.

My uncle hunts with one of the Britt boys. About 6 weeks after the season ended they were sitting around the fire and Britt started talking about how their practices the week of the Auburn and Hawaii games were basically the equivalent of spring practices. There was no specialty stuff, no opponent preparation, no nothing. They basically ran their stuff, watched basic film and left. He said they were all flummoxed and had no idea what was going on and all felt really really unprepared for both games (specifically Auburn).

Then when Fran left on December 5th they all knew exactly what had been going on.

You got my hopes up and it looks like it's not true.

I will almost take anybody besides him right now. Our team is a dumpster fire this year.

Would be a great fit.

Heard the same thing from another player, though he said some players went to Torbush's office one day before practice asking what was going on and why they weren't doing any game plan work. Torbush had no answer.

Has there ever been a bigger nose-dive for a coaching career than Franchione's?

Coker's descent after winning the NC and going to another at Miami has been pretty glorious. Franchione only has one winning season in five years (a paltry 7–5, at that) at Texas State, so it's only a matter of time before they show him the door.

Sorry If I am wrong. Or if Texas State can't afford the buyout. Troy couldn't. Neil Brown better be real good.

The Jox guys source said Fran would coach the final two games and be gone.
