I could see both UA and LSU undefeated going into the game. If that is the case UA will be #1 and LSU will be #2 or 3 in the polls. UA drops the game LSU goes to #1 and UA depending on the score maybe falls to #4 or #5. The PAC 12 will eat its own this year and doubt anyone will be undefeated. Not sure the ACC will have an undefeated team either. Big 10 maybe there league a little deeper this year. Big 12 not having a CG will hurt them again and why they are scrambling to expand.

LSU goes undefeated and UA finishes 11-1 I could see it happening.

If both teams are the best and have no more than one loss, theres nothing they can do to keep both teams out, regardless of how anyone feels. It may very well be a repeat of 2011.

That would mean either every other team looked like shite and ended with a loss or 2.

Thats highly possible and to be honest if theres any conference that has a chance of having 2 teams in the final four then its the SEC.

I think it's inevitable at some point. If not this season, eventually it will happen.

This is funny because they will actually have 5 losses combined.

We'll see it's possible, but I don't think the tide are losing more than two. LSU could certainly lose 3; lots of questions for my team.

Articles who claim this doomsday prediction for the playoffs , and that's just what it would be is a doomsday scenario are just wanting it to happen. The playoff committee , knows good and well they won't and can't have 2 teams from the same conference. The money is too great.

There is only one way , and it is a very long shot. You would have to have an undefeated team lose their CCG and then have a conference champion with at least 2 losses. A non champion with 1 loss will not get a spot above a P5 champion with 1 loss, it's a long shot if they get it above one with 2 losses.

The playoff is simple , win your conference first. If you don't , you should not complain.

Bama sure as hell won't

This is the year right?

2014- Alabama lost AJ McCarron, Kevin Knorwood, Kenny Bell, Anthony Steen (RG), and Cyrus Kouandijo (LT), Ed Stinson (DE), CJ Mosley, Deon Belue, Ha-Ha Clinton Dix, Adrian Hubbard, Vinnie Sunseri, and Jeoffery Pagan. So 12 starters lost, yet Alabama won the SEC Championship and made the playoffs. Also without one of their key RB's, who went down with injury vs Ole Miss.

2015- Alabama loses Blake Sims, TJ Yeldon, Amari Cooper, Christion Jones, Jalson Fowler, DeAndrew White, Brian Volger, Arie Koundijo (OG), Leon Brown (OG), and Austin Shepherd (OT). A total of 10 starters lost on offense. Defense loses Landon Collins, Xavier Dickson, Nick Perry, and Jarrick Williams. On top of this, the starting safety is a converted CB, two freshman starting in the secondary, and one freshman coming in on nickle and dime packages. All this team does is dominate the league and win the national championship with Jake Coker as QB.

This is a pathetic attempt to draw SEC fans to Fox Sports.

Well you're pretty much the only people left that are still propping up ESPN these days in between their lectures on racism and gun control. Can you blame FOX?

it could happen. Everybody else will have to fall at the end like they did in 2011.
