I like this hire. I'm happy Bama has a seasoned, veteran coach at this position.

at alabama hiring a db coach who is a 10x better hire at DC than what lsu actually got. chicago the last 2 years is clouding everyone's minds, but hes was a really good nfl defensive coordinator at the browns and jacksonville. had no talent to work with at chicago, wont have that problem at bama

So he was basically hired just to fill the NCAA coaching numbers.

Isn't there a board for this? Or is it down already?

As a life long Bears fan I think this is a horrible hire. Last year he would not, or could not, adjust the Defense to the strengths of his individual players and the veteran players did not respect him. A perfect example was Fuller. The kid is a physical DB yet he would not switch to press coverage but instead played him off. Who knows maybe he can be a great position but based off what I saw him do in Chicago the past 2 years I would not hold my breath.

Sounds like status quo for Bama DBs. Saban has always wanted run stoppers first and pass coverage second.

But is he a 3-time national champion at three different schools?

Didn't think so.
