As for Saleem Rasheed, I'm shocked. I always took him to be an upstanding being (his bro went to Duke). I don't think he grew up in a welfare-dependent familly.

THIS. He was one of the last I would have ever expected to get caught up in something like this. He was actually really smart grade wise and sounded very intelligent any time he was interviewed. Intelligence doesn't always equal wisdom though and Rasheed apparently is a perfect example. SMART people often think they're smarter than the system. I went to high school with an absolutely brilliant guy that unfortunately had a crafty streak and thought he was smarter than the law enforcement officers he worked with in high school as a part time job. He thought he could forge employee checks and got busted. Sometimes it's better to be WISE than too SMART for your own good.

You really think Jamarcus Russell drinking purple drank is worse that that?

The guy came around disrespecting Ro's grandfather/uncle (cant remember which family member it was at the moment) on the day they were burying him and he obviously had no intention of ever shooting him. Just teaching him a lesson.

He literally did nothing more than ruin the guys underwear and gave him a ringing in his ears for a few hours. If most of us had been in Ro's shoes, I assure you the guy would have faired much worse. Probably at least a few knocked out teeth and a pair of shiners.

BTW, how's Michael Dyer and his merry trailer park bandits doing these days?

Did I say that? I meant throwing away a great chance and finding himself left out of the NFL.
