He has a point IMO. The dude had no blocking, and still did okay for the games he started. Then benched him for bitch-boy Moseley. I'd say that he got a raw deal.

Dude was absolutely gun-shy when they pulled him. He didn't just hear footsteps, he heard tippy-toes. Yeah, he probably had a legitimate right to considering the shitty play of our OL but, still, he was a dear in the headlights.

Had to put somebody brainless out there behind that offensive line who may not have been very good but didn't collapse into a quivering pile of goo just because Courtney Upshaw made a mean face at him.

Well I figure if Malzahn could do it with Chris Todd why couldn't he do it from Barret Trotter? Amirite?

No, because Barrett Trotter wasn't half the quarterback that Chris Todd with a healthy arm was.

Hell, he wasn't as good as Chris Todd with a BAD arm.

The handling of all QBs last year at AU was lacking.

Couldn't agree more. Pulled Trotter after winning 5 games. Wasted a redshirt on Frazier for 9 passes and a few qb scrambles. Wouldn't pull Mosley after he continued to throw pick 6's.

Trotter is one of the biggest douchebags around.

He left because everyone in Auburn hated his arse.

After reading the article if he's hated then that messed up. He's seems like a really smart guy. I hope the best for the guy. Getting degree or whatever.

I think it'll be a combination of who does well in spring and who they have faith in. You saw last year that we were 5-2 and they benched me. Whoever they start, it'll still be up in the air.

I agree with him on this

But he still sucked.

I'm still baffled about wasting Frazier's redshirt. Maybe Gus thought he'd utilize him more as the season progressed and the Oline improved?

He did have a sense of entitlement before last season started.

ETA: Think Brodie Croyle entitlement.

Trotter was very inaccurate, and was playing horribly despite the record.

David Carr Syndrome. He started looking at the rush. It became his single focus.
