Forde: Miller was involved in escalating a verbal confrontation into a murder

The school’s withholding of information and its men’s hoops coach’s dismissive statements have only served to worsen a tragic incident.

Just read it.

A lot of questions need to be answered.

Interesting tonight, Oats claimed he did not have all the info (I questioned that)...did the Tuscaloosa PD not give the University all the info?

quote:

After all, the school did know (and never disclosed) that Miller was present at the time of the murder. It did know (and never disclosed) that there were bullet holes in his windshield from the shootout. It did know (and never disclosed) that he was questioned at length by police. Alabama knew a lot more than it disclosed, and none of it moved the school to alter Miller’s very important playing status with a national championship contender.

With Alabama in damage-control mode, Oats issued a statement at 7:24 p.m. ET Tuesday: “I thought it was important for me to clarify the unfortunate remarks I made earlier. This entire time I’ve tried to be thoughtful in my words relative to this tragic incident, and my statements came across poorly.

Watching you melt with the damage control is telling.

The media is coming after Oats and they want answers....I bet the Alabama President steps in on this real soon for damage control.

This is just more woke anti-gun bs

Nothing wrong with giving a guy his own gun.

Which Auburn player was involved and possibly accessory to murder of a young mother? Must have missed that one

Did I miss an AU basketball player participating in the murder of a mother, and AU fans subsequently choosing to white knight for said player?

it's extremely fortunate that this didn't turn into a mass murder.

Sensationalist garbage. Literally a rehashing of the AL.com article (which wasn't great to begin with) turned into an opinion piece. Quick reminder why no one reads Sports Illustrated any more.

Miller handed/delivered him the loaded murder weapon and blocked the victim’s car…

Police confirmed this today (al.com)

“ Darius Miles asked Brandon Miller to bring gun used to kill Jamea Jonae Harris, police testify”

“ Two vehicles - a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Challenger that belonged to Miles’ teammates, Miller and Bradley - were blocking the road where the Jeep was parked.”

“ It was then, the detective said, that Miller’s Charger was struck by two bullets.”
