Terrible list and their actual mobile site is even worse. Forbes needs to hire better developers.

No Charlottesville, VA or Athens, GA in the top 5? List is not legit.

There is a race war in Baton Rouge right now so they are disqualified

Actually, NORTH Baton Rouge has had some peaceful demonstrations, and a couple of extremist religious 'leaders' have asked for boycotts of malls, but that's about it....
Unless you know something because like, with you being there in the middle of it and all, you would know.........

Dunno. I'm kind of partial to Starkville, CO and Knoxville, AZ.

OM fans kind of slow. Oxford, OHIO number one.

Finally an objective evaluation of Bryan/College Station, #1 in SEC!

Graduates don't like leaving for jobs elsewhere.

To each his own.

To be fair I am itching to get out of BR and have no idea how people have lived here all their lives

Fayetteville routinely wins best place to live awards. Athens, by all standards I have seen, does as well. Not only that but from what I can tell the economy is booming in both cities.

... Maybe the folks that wrote this live in those two towns.

Hmm...

Yes. Yes, you have found us out. Athens and Fayetteville, AR are horrible places to live. Please do not come here and buy up property. Have you looked into moving to a real swinging college town like Hoboken, New Jersey?

I lived in College Station for 10 years. It's not a college town anymore and Bryan is a shite hole. Parts of CS are like a war zone... glad I moved away.

...did you seriously just say CSTX is a war zone when your school is located in ground zero of a race riot? Jesus...

I live in Baton Rouge. There are peaceful protests going on. A few knuckleheads who don't speak for anyone other than themselves are talking about boycotts. The family of Alton Sterling has really stepped up and conducted themselves with dignity in what must be a horrible time. The police department has willingly turned over the investigation to the feds. There's a lot of concerns about how things will play out and a lot of rampant speculation, but nothing has happened so far.
So, no offense, but go frick yourself. Don't talk shite about shite you don't know about, OK?

All these lists are opinions. Folks post these things on any subject when it highlights their school. Somebody from New York is not gonna see SEC towns the way they would chestnut hill, providence or new haven ct. Same with folks from the south. These mean NOTHING. I had 10 times over rather have a college game day experience in Oxford over Cambridge mass or.....corvallis
