when I first moved here, about 4 years ago, I agree with this. He would compliment LSU now and then. I'm guessing that the last part of your quote has a lot to do with this. Probably a lot of negative feedback. Thanks for actually throwing out something intelligent.

Bo does a good job. Attempting to talk college footbal year around is a tough task. I, too, know several LSU and Bama fans inpartiicular and very few of them attended either school nor are they from those respective states. Never understood that. Bo's fanbase, as has been said ad nauseum, is overwhelmingly Ole Miss and State. As a matter of fact he never really mentions Mississippi Southern, either, and they are just down the road from Jackson. To spend any amount of considerable time discussing other schools would be career suicide.

To sum up, and this is really the way most Ole Miss and State fans feel based upon my expeiences. I can't stand LSU, Bama, Auburn, etc. when they are playing our in state schools, but I do want them representing the SEC well against the rest of the country. Still, I have no desire to here much about them on our local college football show.

When you referred to him not having anything positive to say about Lsu. Most people would consider saying something positive the same as talking something up. Why does Bo Bounds have to be objective about Lsu?

And another thing, all you fans of other SEC schoools, I can assure you, you are getting your panties in a wad over nothing. If there was anything negative said about LSU, Bama, etc. last week by Bounds I can't even remember what it was. Why, because I don't really care about those schools. And I listen most every day. When discussion about out-of-state schools is dominating the air-time I basically tune things out without literally changing the channel. Which brings us back around to the very reason why Bounds doesn't spend too much time off topic (i.e. State or Ole Miss).

You're talking about the guy that seriously interviewed Coach 34 about his theories on how Ole Miss cheats and Mississippi State should emulate our strategy.

It's a radio show set up for entertainment, not journalistic integrity.

Bo is awful. He uses Elite Dawgs as a legitimate source. All you need to know.

Also, the LSU fan base in Jackson is minimal. You're thinking of the coasties.

There is actually a fairly good-sized LSU fan base in the Jackson Metro, probably the largest out-of-state school fan base in Jackson (mostly LSU grads who live here). I see lots of cars with LSU stickers or license plates around town. Alabama would probably be the next closest in numbers.

The thing that bugs me most about Bo is his tendency to be very repetitive. He will make the same point over and over and over and over. I can't listen to him for very long because of this. Make the point and move on.

I rarely listen to him. I have got to get a sirus service after my free one ran out. The guy certainly caters to MS fans, but geez, be a little realistic. Also, I never mentioned on here he should build up LSU. I simply mentioned that when he starts comparing the ms schools to the other top schools in the conference, he seems he deliberately leaves LSU out. The numbers don't agree with his opinion.....so to me his credibility is not very good. As one poster mentioned, he seems to flip flop an awful lot. You are correct, LSU does have a significant fanbase in this area.

Listen Bo, I didn't say you had to make a show centered around LSU. I simply said when you start propping up State and Ole Miss (which you should do based upon your audience) you should probably be realistic when comparing them to teams that are currently successful....I have had to listen you for the last few weeks when my sirus ran out. There is a large LSU fanbase in the area....at least be objective about LSU...

Using your logic, what have you guys done in the last, ummm, let's say 55-60 years?

I could run the numbers for you, but why waste the time? I'd imagine they have won more SEC games than everyone but Bama since then. However, I'm quite sure they have done at least one thing that Ole Miss has never done.....won the West....LMAO. I would talk to you about the buildup surrounding the trip to Atlanta, but then, I don't think we would have much to talk about right? LMAO. Also, nice performance this year in the bowl game. You finally played someone in a bowl game that was actually a legitimate program....

Move away if you don't like it. Jackson is my hometown, a great college sports city, and the LSUs of the world DO NOT MATTER there. The only schools that matter are Ole Miss and State, not LSU, not Alabama, not Southern Miss.

LSU has become a mediocre program in all phases since 2010 and his points are valid: Ole Miss and State were top football programs in the SEC last season, Ole Miss basketball is the #3 program in the conference right now, and both programs have made it to the top 4 of the CWS in the past two years. LSU has accomplished none of these things. I don't know what else you want Bo to do, bc it sounds like you want him to put LSU on a pedestal it doesn't deserve.

Boy, it's really gonna be tough on the fans of these other SEC schools if Ole Miss and State continue to trend upwards. They just simply aren't accustomed to much consistent resistance on the field of competition from the Magnolia State.

I used to live there and I remember that guy. I always enjoyed his show for the humor of how much he hated LSU.

Finebaum isn't any better than Bounds when it comes to talking sports. However, Bounds is way way more informed about things concerning MSU and OM, naturally. I don't like all the bs he spews about off topic matter. That goes on and on and it's stupid. With that said, Bounds knows how to stir people up, and that's an essential part of the job. Finebaum may be a nice guy, but he's generally lost when talking about MSU and sometimes OM, among others.

LSU has won more SEC games than any other SEC program since 2010, other than Alabama. In Baseball, I believe LSU has won more conference games than any other SEC program during that period. I hope you aren't trying to compare the programs of Ole Miss and LSU in football or baseball. In basketball, LSU has sucked recently, but then you have a program that has never even made a sweet 16. LSU is pretty decent this year, and has a great class coming next year. Again, I hope you aren't comparing the Ole Miss basketball program to the LSU program.

Ole Miss and State were top football programs in the SEC last season,

LMAO...one lost 3 games and the other lost 4 games...both were blown out in their respective bowl games.

quote:

both programs have made it to the top 4 of the CWS in the past two years.

Again, LMAO, you are actually trying to infer that either program has a better overall baseball program than LSU...I honestly think you believe this.

Not at all on a pedestal. However, based upon the accomplishments of LSU in all three major sports, LSU is far superior to either school, and it's not even close. LSU has won National Championships in Football and Baseball recently, and a final four in 2006 in basketball. You can add the national championships and final fours together, and they still aren't close to LSU's success.....lol
