Lot of family around there.

I'm actually considering state at the moment as well. They've already offered to wave my out of state because of my 29 on the act. I'm taking it for the last time in two weeks. Hopefully I can get the point I need to get into the 30s.

Thanks, Tbird. Admittedly, I've [thankfully] only made that drive a handful of times.

Good deal. I'm actually driving from Whitney so I probably need to add another 40 minutes or so to that then.

don't sweat it dude. I don't drink anyway so it's not that big of a deal.

I'm not really concerned with the beauty of the campus so it's all good. The way I see it I'm not paying to look at trees or pretty buildings.

Or pretty women??

Pedro, A&M has a new Memorial Student Center that is really nice. If you have time, would highly recommend the Bush Library and the Corp Museum. Takes 1 1/2 hours from Waco but not bad drive now that Hwy 6 is 4 lane.

State has a hell of a meteorological school. Why go to aTm?

Because he has the choice.

Yeah, no charm on that campus. No trees either.

Pretty much. There are a few bright spots here and there on campus, but for the most part it's not much to look at.

For anyone who is going to take a campus tour though, I strongly suggest visiting the bonfire memorial. It's location and the way it was built makes it's it a pretty moving place to be. Especially at night.

It's east Texas. There are trees literally everywhere on campus. West side doesn't have as many, but that's a little further away from the main campus.

It's Central Texas.

I grew up in B/CS, and I know of literally not a single person who grew up in the Brazos county who considers themselves from East Texas. Occasionally, you can find maps that include the Brazos county as the western edge of East Texas, but not usually. And, like I said, nobody from the area considers themselves from East Texas.
