Hasn't the gov't been helping out f$u for a while now? Don't they need to be given money in order to survive?

Clemson sucks. I hate them for you, USC fans.

My dad went to Presbyterian College in Clinton after growing up in the Rock Hill area. Ancestors fought at Cowpens. My dad was South Carolinian to the core, met a little girl from Alabama at PC in the 70s though.

He told me this story and says there are many more stories like it, without as many zeros. Says that Clemson holds its own in the State House.

The absolute worst fan base I have ever seen Mississippi State play was by far Clemson. 1999 Football and 2007 Baseball. They were horrible.

Clemson has actually set a precedent for this.

When the Williams-Brice family bequeathed $20 million to SCAR in '70, Strom Thurmond interceded and had it split between the two schools.

SCAR fought it but was going to lose ... until Paul Dietzel stepped in and flew to Washington and met with Strom agreeing to let the division of the money take place if the money would be directed to the athletic department rather than the educational fund.

Strom had made the power move on Clemson's behalf using a tax law ... but he thought his people might lose the court battle on a technicality so he was willing to deal.

Strom worked his magic no taxes were paid on either half, and we used our half to build the West Upper Deck and then renamed the stadium Williams-Brice.

I'm not sure what the taterheads did with their half of the money they stole

I literally can't believe this. It's something the sips or Baylor would do in a heartbeat. My mind is seriously blown, frick Clemson. Also Strom Thurmond

Looks like a good lawyer to me.

My guess is that FSU will build more classrooms in/near their stadium so that they can steal more money from the taxpayers of FL.

Our fricking Governor is a tater-to-the-core bitch who has no problem letting it be known that she bleeds that God awful color combo of orange and purple.

I'm good with her as Governor ... I don't care whom she roots for or where she went.

I have read that the gap will be so large that the other Power 5 conferences will push for overall revenue sharing.

In honesty we don't know. College football recently "stabalized" at around $20 million per team per year. If the SEC blows past that mark it may get another round of realignment started.

There is a reason no one on the ESPN or SEC side will speculate on the money that will be made. That is to prevent destabilization before the playoff mold set.

Now that we have entered this era if the ACC gets pissy they have less recourse.

True ... but we had Hodges some years ago and he helped us from time to time. I'm not a big fan of Nikki Haley though. I would be if it were not for her constantly throwing the taterhead stuff in our faces and it may very well cost her this next election.
