He's not an Alabama fan. He's undercover for AU24. He's obviously his lover.

Enjoy your Stidham pipe dream for the next week.

We really only need him to be better than Sean White. And he is.

The point I have been making, and you know to be true, the overwhelmingly vastness of bama's success has been under two coaches. Both coaches had already had tremendous success before they got to bama. Hell, bear had Kentucky relevant nationally.

Which will it be skippy? Come on, try and stay on the same page with yourself here.

The combined record of the teams Stidham started against is
27-12 KSU, Oklahoma, & Oklahoma St. Baylor was also a major playoff contender during these games so he was playing against good teams and under pressure

So let me get this straight you are calling the worst power 5 conference in football good. Wow.

If Stidham isn't a threat to run Gus will panic.
If Auburn can keep him in the pocket and keep his uniform clean they might have a chance.
Defense will let Auburn down IMO.

He's more of a run threat than White, but has a much better arm. Gus ran a damn fine offense at Tulsa a few years back with a legit pass threat.

What are you basing your defense prediction on?

He panicked every time OU pressured him. He will face a whole different level of pressure from Clemson and then the SEC west schedule than he did in the Big12. Worst of all he tends to overthrow under pressure, that will create tip balls and interceptions in the SEC. He did complete some passes in some small windows, but that is another way of saying he was forcing the ball in good coverage. I think he will be a turnover machine in the SEC.

I have an idea. Let's remove each school's 2 greatest coaches and then rank ther schools accomplishments sans those 2 coaches.

Goodbye Shug and Dye. Goodbye Neyland and Fulmer. Goodbye Spurrier and Meyer. Goodbye Dooley and Richt. Goodbye Leahy and Rockne. Goodbye Miles and Saban. Goodbye Switzer and Wilkinson. Goodbye McKay and Carroll. Goodbye Paterno and Engle.

Alabama has 8 SEC championships from coaches not named Saban or Bryant. LSU has 7 not named Saban or Miles. Tennessee has 6 not named Neyland or Fulmer. Georgia has 4 not named Dooley or Richt. Auburn has 3 not named Shug or Dye. Florida has 0 not named Spurrier or Meyer.

Hint, Alabama would still be at the very tip top.

The OP named Baylor in his initial post as having a formidable defense. I went with it.
