What is your opinion on the no call on HaHa?
Could have easily been called and probably upheld. I think it got missed because the action all happened at the same time - one player trying to make an INT, and HaHa making the hit.

would say he wasn't defenseless. Being brought down by another player at the time and he was still trying to gain yards.
Note 2: Defenseless player (Rule 2-27-14):
• A player in the act of or just after throwing a pass.
• A receiver attempting to catch a pass, or one who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a ball carrier.
• A kicker in the act of or just after kicking a ball, or during the kick or the return.
• A kick returner attempting to catch or recover a kick.
• A player on the ground.
• A player obviously out of the play.
• A player who receives a blind-side block.
• A ball carrier already in the grasp of an opponent and whose forward progress has been
stopped.
• A quarterback any time after a change of possession.

Tuscaloosa if you get 20 pages it's because of me

Im glad he got to stay in the game because I hate that rule, yet another rule to pussify the game, and I don't think he was trying to be dirty but was just a bit jacked up. Norwood was laying offbalance on the guy all he had to do was push him over with his hands. Going helmet first does make it a valid argument though under these rules we are currently playing under.
Now what I also hated was Gary's 2 cents at the end of the game that any offensive player who lowers his helmet during a play should automatically cause a dead ball spot. This is how this pussification hole keeps getting dug deeper.

Doesn't have anything to do with the play in question, but at least there was a legitimate reason for missing this call. There was a play on the ball being made by Belue, which I'm sure is what every ref in the area was looking at - as they should have been.

What the hell? Why the frick does a QB get special treatment after a change of possession? He's more defenseless than anyone else how?
If that's the rule, then a QB shouldn't be able to make a tackle either.

It doesn't really matter. He could have had both arms tied behind him and launched himself head first at the guy's chin...
My argument there is that there was a legitimate reason for missing the call - due to the nature of the play and the referees having their attention on the potential interception by #13 Belue.
There was no reason to have missed the Loston call.

Seemed similar to this play to me, which was reviewed and found not targeting.

Well that was my point because its subjective. He was still trying to gain yards from the looks of it so the forward progress part is what i am guessing what the officials saw. Loston definitely crowned him leading with his helmet as always.

Landry's defenseless, but it looks like HaHa leads with his shoulder and makes primary contact with Jarvis's chest/shoulder...

I'm mad that he got called but not ejected. Literally the worst possible outcome IMO

Ole Miss player lowered his head.

Might have been. Check it out at the 1:51:53 mark... tough for me to tell. Initially I thought he was on his way to the ground.

Regardless of why it was missed doesn't make it right. At least with the Loston hit they acknowledged that there was some wrongdoing on Loston whether it was the compete right call or not. On the Clinton-Dix hit nothing was ever acknowledged when it is obvious that there was helmet to helmet contact.

What has happened with EJ? Played lights out vs Ole Miss and has dissipated since. Is he in the doghouse? Wtf?
