AU would have been good with Malzahn or Petrino. Arky would have been better with Malzahn. Such is life in geographic recruiting positioning. BB will still be respectable moving forward after a few classes under his belt if Arky is patient.

A lot has changed since. If Arky is patient, the West could repositioning itself. But going head to head with UA/LSU at the moment, playing their brand of football, is a losing venture. Time-frames are very relevant in this discussion presently.
The biggest issue for Arky's offense of course is getting a QB. I know all too well the pain you guys are feeling

Sure, but one thing our state has always produced is quality Olinemen and very solid RBs.
I'd also say LSU isn't so much of a smash mouth team as they have been.

Man it sucks that our no-talent state hasn't produced guys like peyton hillis, darren mcfadden, michael dyer, deangelo williams, altee tenpenny and madre hill...maybe then we could play smashmouth football :(

To be fair Gus walked into a much better situation at Auburn than BB did at Arkansas. Asks this question again in 2 years and the answer will be much clearer. With that said frick fair and frick Arkansas. Bite that pillow bitches.
