I do think the eagle flights have become increasingly less lengthy / less impressive in the last couple of years. They now generally commence from the upper deck rampway near the flag pole, and the eagle makes only "half a lap" around the stadium before it is lured to the ground.

Perhaps the 2011 Mississippi State game (eagle had a different agenda)changed everything.

Do they make an announcement on the PA system at 2:43 to please open all suite windows?

I've seen it happen there too about 15 years ago. It was soaring at about 50 ft and nose dived straight into the water and came up with what looked to be about a 15 lb buffalo carp. It was an awesome thing to witness.
