I think AJs emotions at the end of the game says otherwise. Kid was a wreck. Gotta hand it to him....that was one hell of a drive.

I think it's BS that people won't admit this is a rivalry. I don't care if it doesn't have the "history" this is THE game in college football right now and a rivalry has been established.

To those of us here in LA it is absolutely a rivalry, but the Bama fans that don't live here will never accept it just because they already have a large instate school in he same conf and a game win TN that is as old as the hills.

It's a rivalry as long as Alabama wins. Not a rivalry when LSU wins.

I read on here or elsewhere that LSU/Bama is this era's version of 90s UM/FSU.
I can absolutely get behind that. So much on the line, such great teams. Its not a game that LSU or Bama fans will get overly excited for if one or both dips back down at any point.
LSU's biggest rival is the best team they play in a given year. Since about 2003 that's gone from Auburn, to UF, to now Bama. I think it speaks well that the game LSU fans circle is the biggest obstacle to getting to ATL and the BCSCG.
I'd rather that revolving door, than need a "rival" to make the season because the program I support isn't in the national or conference championship picture often enough.
