Personally thought it was a pretty great hire from the beginning, and the fans seemed more positive than negative, don't know what else to tell you.

Most Gator friends I know would have taken Mickey Mouse as HC to get rid of Muschump. You would be hard pressed to find any Gator fan that didn't like the hire.

And Foley can fuk off for taking so long to figure out what everone already knew. He was asleep at the wheel while Chump ran the pogram in the ground.

Nobody hated the hire. Hell we were popping champagne bottles just because Muschamp got fired.

Personally, I loved the hire. Someone who could just fix an offensive inept team to pass in a pro style offense. Would be nice to have at LSU.

Although I do hate the Gators when they're good. Cocky as frick

I'm glad the University of Florida- Columbus could help you with grammar, perhaps in a year or two if you keep your grades up you can leave our northern auxiliary campus and transfer to the main branch.

That's bizarre. I'm on mobile too.

I don't know how 'need' got changed to 'Ned.'

Protip: you can just select the text and click the quote button. You don't have to re-type or even copy and paste

Experiences differ of course but not one person I know and not one comment I saw on any site was down in the hiring of McElwain.

There's never so much hyperbole and stereotyping as that seen when people describe UF fans. It's rarely "you're all kool aid drinkers" or "you're all hicks", no, instead it's "I hate all of you people" or "worst fans in the nation".

Seriously, get a grip.

Interesting. I always liked the hire.

I liked it and he sold me solid at the first presser when he was down to earth and I could tell the media would love him..his quotes of "they are getting their bellies tickled" is a classic. Or during a post game presser starting out with "boy that was fun" kind of comments shows he was "captured in the moment".

na. here's what i said about it.

12/12/14
quote:

giving muschamp a pass on 2013 was a mistake, better not to make it worse by giving him a pass on 2014. foley isnt into hiring big names. ron zook, meyer, muschamp. i guess its hit and miss, but after the 2013 season you have to go in another direction. all 2014 did was prolong it. sloppy play on a consistent basis at year 4 is unacceptable. thats a coaching problem. losing to georgia southern is unforgivable and im glad champ is gone. champ lost to a 1aa team and broke the schools bowl/winning season streak. good luck champ, your a good guy, but im glad your gone, albeit a year late.

The big time moral to this thread is for the Florida fans to stay humbled. Most of the fans had a flash back to tebow days when you rattled off two big wins in a row. Pump the brakes and don't get delusional.
