So spurrier built the program up , Meyer helped atleast keep it up if not make it better and Muschamp was able to do as bad as the program did before it was built up. Sounds like we were right Muschamp is a program killer. It's sad that the last 2 programs Muschamp was at were top college football programs that now struggle to make bowl games. Thank god he is not at UF anymore.

I don't think any Florida fan will claim we were great before the 90's.

You would be wrong and probably werent born yet or a toddler. Our 1980s explosion in early-mid 1980s put us in gear. Charley Pell had fire in his belly...but learned the art of recruiting from the Bear and was absent for the lesson on not being caught.

Most violations were minor crap. Exit Pell and enter Capt Kangaroo who didnt have quite the killer instinct of Pell.

You probably forget we blew out UGA in 1984 27-3 to end a horrible losing streak to them. We took out USC the trojan variety behind the sacks of Wilbur Marshall in 1982. Some of our notable players included Lomas Brown OT who played in the NFL for 40 yrs, ditto James Jones, John L Williams, Neal Anderson, Lorenzo Hampton etc etc

We probably had more first round picks in the span of 1982-85 than at any other four year span. Population had nothing to do with it. Did you know that we had SEC title in 1990-Spurriers first year, that was taken from us because of unproven violation on Galen Halls watch ? The 1960s was awesome during Spurriers playing years and we blew up folks in 1969 with QB John Reaves.

With the right OC Muschamp could have dominated SEC...he didnt have one and we suffered....thats past history. Going forward I see great things as long as we can keep defense stout.

Spurrier himself will tell you that his early success at UF in 1990-91 was due to great defense he inherited....all UF needed was offense to go with it. Now we are in need of offense and I think we have the right guy.

I had seriously forgotten what a group of tards most Florida fans were until posters like Montana Gator showed up.

No Florida does not have more conference championships since 1990 than Auburn does all time. If you have more national championships, it is basically a fluke considering Auburn has two more undefeated seasons since 2004 than Florida does in their entire history
