Who gives a shite? They can have the BCS game. No one cares about consolation prizes for losers, except loser programs.

I'd rather have the shot at the SEC championship and the BCS championship. We would gladly trade. Georgia can thank their bullshite schedule.

So can Bama. Wish UF wasn't so concerned about FSU and would join forces with LSU to lobby for a more equitable schedule for everyone.

EXACTLY....and this is why FL should side with LSU and DEMAND equality in SEC scheduling...best would be a 6/3 format

People are acting like Georgia weren't already rewarded this season with their bullshite schedule. Now they want to be rewarded further for losing to 2 of the 3 good teams they played?

I'm glad we got the chance to play for the championship. We're going to miss out on the BCS but that's just the way it goes. I do think that the 2 team per conference rule is stupid.

You were blown out by a divisional foe and you think you didn't benefit from the conference schedule? Two years in a row you were gifted an opportunity and you're bitching?

They don't have a choice. The legislature mandated that the two school play each other every year.

Yeah, I remember Georgia gettting to play in the Sugar Bowl by finishing 2nd in the East and not losing in the SECCG.

Who is bitching? The vast majority of these types of thread are started by non UGA fans. I don't give a frick what bowl we go to. We had our shot last night and came up a few yards short.

I can't believe all the whining that LSU fans have been doing these last few weeks. They had their biggest game of the year at home and all they have to do is win and they are in the SEC championship. You choked and everyone on national tv saw it.

Florida had their biggest rival and all they had to do was take care of business and they are in the ship. What happened? They choked and lost.

All of you can bitch and moan all you want about the schedules but both teams had their destiny in their OWN hands and came up short. Blame it on yourselves.

Most ironic thing I've ever read on this board. Seriously ever.

Why? I am perfectly aware of my teams performance in big games. I do not speak for my entire fanbase I speak for myself. I have not and will not make excuses when we get our pants pulled down. I believe we took a step in the right direction last night but that remains to be seen.

When you see me crying about someone else's schedule feel free to bump this.

Why is it ironic? Does this truly need explaining to a UGA fan after last night?

Yes explain why it's ironic. I have never complained about our schedule or anyone else's. I have never stated that we deserve to go to a BCS bowl. I have never said that we haven't been a no show in most big games.

You know, there is something wrong with a system that a team that wins it's division, but loses a conference championship game would get a better bowl or even a chance at a national title.

It really doesn't seem fair. Happens every year to someone though.

The only time that a team that doesn't win it's division should be allowed to play for a national title is if the division winner is also in the national championship. If we would have somehow upset LSU in the sec championship last year they still deserved to go over Alabama. The way it fell since LSU was in Alabama definitely deserved to go.

As for Florida making a BCS game, they have a great resume and earned it. The fact that we will be left out is a flaw in the BCS not something Florida did.

The SEC CG is not a net benefit scenario. It has the potential to be good for your team or bad. Unfortunately for UGA they caught the bad end of it.

Most intelligent post in this entire thread. If other conferences were stepping up and hitting the same level, it would be the same thing. Championship games are set up to do just what happened last night. Determine who the best team in a conference is. Well done Alabama. I think the vast majority of UGA fans could give two shits about which bowl game we go to now. If anything the Cap One game is better for me personally because I don't have to travel anywhere. Florida played a challenging schedule. I think most of their fans and their team would have preferred to be in our shoes last night regardless the outcome.

As to the comments about irony... please notice that these threads by and large are not started by UGA fans. I've seen very little in the way of "bitching" and "whining" from our fan base. (Outside of some questionable calls last night...) At the end of the day, we had our fate in our hands and came up a few yards short. Not to be. Now I can without pause say RMFT... kill the Irish.
