The OL has been resting, in and out, with a lot of back ups/freshmen playing mostly the minutes. They have been managing them to have them ready for saturday. They don't have to save anything for the next week. I expect to see much better blocking Saturday.
Joyer is back Saturday as well (out with a bruised thigh last two weeks), our best blocker (full back).
We don't have to be great offensively. All we need is to be what we have been all season, and we will beat FSU. It will be another ugly win, that the defense will get done.

One would hope so....UL pitched a tent in your backfield.

Gotcha, read your earlier, more detailed post. Well, the opportunity is there for the big invite. Even if Oregon wins, if Stanford beats UCLA the Ducks won't have that 'conference champion' mantra for them. UT can certainly beat KSU. A blowout in ATL by one team or the other and the Gators may well get in.

Is LSU out of candidates to whom to lose?

I think so too but if UF wins, well, what can be said? They did the job.

Notre Dame, Oregon, and Florida are all going to lose, and then all hell is going to break loose.

People only like "pretty wins". Since we were supposed to lose 4-6 games this year according to some here I'm OK with ugly wins.
Our offense is atrocious though. I'm not sure why that pisses so many others off.

I don't think voters will allow another all SEC championship. Florida has the hardest schedule in the nation, so they are certainly deserving if they beat FSU, but thanks to last year, it won't happen regardless. I'm going to feel dirty, but will be rooting for SCal.

Oh I hear ya. I thought UF still a year away so this whole season might seem like gravy. The offense oddly seems to have stepped back through the year instead of getting better. But Pease is a good hire and I'd expect UF to pretty much remain a serious ATL competitor now, and gotten that 2010/2011 down years out of the way.

Maybe but if described scenario happens will there be another choice? Texas?

Prob not, but we will hear a lot of crap for sure. Maybe they will actually change the system to fix it (playoffs).

Meh, I see a lot of jazz about the 07 LSU team. People forget that they also won the Grantland Rice Trophy and the AP #1...unlike the 03 club.

I'm waiting for this playoff deal and to see if CLM can get a 3 loss team in. 50/50.

They still beat LSU and are possibly going to play in the Championship game.
And your point is...? The Tigers had already lost 5 starters by that game and lost two more during the game. The guys who have been plugged in since that time have really elevated their games. 10-14 point LSU win in The Swamp if they met again this week. 'Bama would pulverize the Gators right now IMO.

Anyone that thinks FSU is gonna skullfrick us is downright stupid. Yes they may beat us, but come on! we have the best D in the damn land. hell FSU couldnt score on our D last year that was inept at times and they had a better offense last season. Our D is better.
With that said. UF 13-FSU3
