I don’t understand Florida’s infatuation with Petty. I mean he was from Gainesville I get it but I don’t think the guy knew what the inside of BHG stadium looked like.
I mean when Brittany’s time comes will LSU play “Baby hit me one more time” at the beginning of the 4th? At least she has been to some games.

Nope. I just see it though clear vision, not obstructed by coats of nostalgic wax to obstruct the truth. It was 100 percent My generation and Tom Petty was never a big act that people went apeshit over, not in any reality. The radio stations did run it in the ground though, ad nauseam, just like they did John Cougar, the Black Crows, and I don’t personally dislike any of them. They just weren’t Elvis like, deserving of idol worship or anything.

Piss balloons are reserved for the opposing fans, not their band. The bird is the most I have ever seen thrown at the Florida band.

I have been watching this rivalry for most of my 38 years. Tom Petty becoming a part of it was never something I even thought of. I love it.
