I really hope Florida escapes unscathed and there's no damage or injuries, but I agree with OP. Nevermind the football game, the resources that are needed to put on an event like that in Gainesville should be used for public safety and preparation instead. It's foolish to divert those resources for a football game.

What does this have to do with the OPs melt?

Surely you don't think Florida fans have any input into the logistics of this game or do you? I'm never certain who believes what here.

What you really mean is "frick Florida for not playing the game at LSU. We need all the help we can get and those frickers won't cooperate."

Still a hurricane, you idiot. Gustav wrecked our shite and it was barely a Cat 1.

Obviously not! Ask New Orleans about not getting directly hit.

And? Damage will still exist. Resources will be spread thin.

It doesn't need to.

But the destruction won't be.

Literally has nothing to do with it.

No one has melted harder than you the last few hours.

Oh yeah, and we don't.

Its not about the weather or field condition or anything like that. Its about the resources that will be needed elsewhere. We don't have to play in BR, but we shouldn't play somewhere that needs every infrastructure resource it can get at that time.

Not to mention the hundred thousand people traveling, including our team the day before, to Gainesville.

Because they are poor, we are going to let them keep the $3 profit from the game as a good will gesture toward are poverty and obesity stricken friends in BR.

When the power starts going off, for hrs if not days at a time, roads closed due to flooding or fallen tree limbs, no law enforcement presence at all, grocery stores run out of food & supplies, then..then...let them focus on the football game. Been there, done that. A Cat. 4 is nothing to sneeze at, any time any place any where.
