A good season doesn't see full recruiting benefits until the following recruiting season.
The 2016 class had no idea how Florida would turn out under "mac" until halfway through their senior hs season. Kids are being recruited hard as SOPH and JRs these days.

12th isn't bad for what state the program was in when he took over.

Next year should be even better

What do y'all have to show for it? Clemson is irrelevant and has never won shite in anything. I don't even know what state Clemson is in. Virginia? Irrelevant

Needed some wide receivers and we got some good ones to compliment antonio callaway

Might of even got a AJ Green/Julio Jones type in Tyrie Cleveland

We also have Luke Del Rio the coaches son who transferred and could not play last year....and we also have ex Purdue senior QB transferred in who can play this year and has had starting experience and 6'5" height...plus another frosh Kyle Trask from out of Texas. ANYONE would be an improvement over last year mid season on.

I expect offense to improve and we got some beef at RB and a whole shitload of WRs. Air Gator coming to a stadium near you.

We hit on a lot of our needs.

#5 QB Feleipe Franks
#1 JUCO RB Mark Thompson
#2 WR Tyrie Cleveland
#2 WDE Antonneous Clayton
#4 CB Chauncey Gardner

Added depth at QB, RB, WR, WDE, LB and S.

We'll need to continue to improve our recruiting but the good thing is McElwain appears to realize that with his addition of Torian Gray at DB coach.

I'd personally love to demote Greg Nord (TE, ST coach) to an off the field role and bring in Jajuan Sieder from WVU. That would take this staff to the next level IMO.

Back them up with Swain, Wells, Massey, and Hammond and we pulled one hell of a receiver class. Plus two quality RB's in Thompson and Perine.

I mean, wasn't the offensive side of the ball the biggest need?

Duh, yes, but recuiting is for the future.

We need DTs, LBs, and DBs. Hopefully we will get Catalina for the OL, but we need to recruit better the OL.

We filled needs, but to compete for championships we will need better talent. We won't do that until we stop stinking the field. Grier shenanigans really hurt our recruiting IMO.

Mac is fixing it. The next class will really say if we come out of this chit hole we are in. I trust MAC, but he has work to do. He really has to coach them up this year, and have a good year, otherwise, we won't compete in recuiting like we should.

I hope you aren't referencing Felipe Franks. He is raw, overrated, and immature

We brought in three QBs, one a grad from Perdue, and LDR, who was a transfer.
For sure we should be better than Treon.

When he was committed to LSU, it was SEC fricked.

Obviously since he's coming to UF he's overrated.

Edit: If I had to guess, he will be take a redshirt this year.

Either Del Rio, Appleby, or Treon will start.

Hopefully it's not Treon.

I was about to post that. Auburn's WR class is better.

It is still a great class for UF. Probably the best WR class UF has had since Spurrier. IMO UF will have more production out of this WR class than Auburn just because Mac's offense vs Gus's offense.

Correct, Auburn's is slightly better.

Still, it's UFs best WR haul since the Spurrier years.
