So for the last 2 years the Big 12 has been on death's door due to schools jumping ship, now, because of the SEC/Big 12 bowl game and a rumor that they might get FSU they think they can go out and get any school they want? I'm guessing they add Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and USCw and call it a day

Substitute the Dallas Cowboys for Ohio State, and I think you're right.

This is consistent with what every Texas fan tells themselves to ease the pain of being an inferior program in an inferior conference.

the bastards believe the shite they make up too. it's like if you close your eyes and say it enough it is reality. i got enough of the tejas idiots when we beat 'em in the World Series in '09. the ones i know still think they won. and i am serious. damnest attitude i ever saw. i don't blame A&M (and Nebraska and Colorado and Missouir) from getting as far away from those egoists as possible. they are pathetic.

Wait what? OU looked at the failure that is the longhorn network and saw its smaller, more regional fanbase and saide lets make a network? I knew longhorns were delusional but i didnt know the sooners were too...

And this is the kind of crap post we continue to get from Tejas' lil brother. Their addiction to Orange Blood is like Missouri's addiction to meth.

We don't give a shite about the Bitch XII, and no SEC team will ever leave the SEC.

Shut up. We're making fun of Texas in this thread. We'll make fun of aTm, Arky, and Mizzou in another one.

What a complete DUMBASS. Sorry, but UGA and Florida would no more leave the SEC than Auburn or LSU or Alabama would. They are core members.

I now officially designate Cosell as president of the stupid muthafricker club.

No, its a testament of how bad the Big East is, and their desperation to get out of it. The bigger testament should be that WVU only decided on the Big 12 after the SEC and ACC told them no

The Big 12 will survive and do well without NU, CU, A&M, MU. The fact that it can lose those members and still attract potential new members is a testament to the strength of Texas & Oklahoma. The question now is not whether it will expand, but whether it wants to expand. Each school is sitting pretty now with a guaranteed $20 million payout from TV and soon OU will have its own network up & going.

And the irony in all of this is that the ACC is going to be the conference most hurt by the defections

This is what I don't get.

- You do realize that the SEC is king and they picked off the programs they wanted from under your nose, right?

- You do realize that you lost Colorado to the Pac 12, and Nebraska to the B1G, allowing each of those conferences to geographically block you in and steal your third most prestigious program that had a national following, right?

- You do realize that at the moment A&M left the Big 12 was forced to take a small private school with a 44,000 person stadium in its current footprint in TCU that was already left behind 15 years ago when the SWC collapsed, right?

- You do realize that when Mizzou left, the Big 12 was forced to take a West Virginia team 1200 miles away from Austin it has no ties to and that wasn't desired by any other conference in the country, right?

- You do realize that your conference consists of 8 teams that provide marginal value at best, and would provide absolutely no value to any other conference outside of maybe KU in the B1G if basketball becomes drastically more valuable, right?

- You do realize that OU already tried to leave for the Pac 12 but was rejected, right?

- You do realize that the individual network model is pointless, and only leverages against the foundation of the league, right?

- You do realize that $20 million guaranteed, whether true or not, only puts you ahead of the ACC, and will always be marginalized by the strength and solidarity other leagues that share tier 3 rights as opposed to the individual network model that everyone will be pigeon holed in to because of the Longhorn Network, right?

- You do realize that the Big 12 thinks it can expand at will in to the ACC, but that the SEC could simply throw the ACC a lifeline and create some sort of in season alliance that mimics the Pac 12/B1G and block off the Big 12 from ever sniffing any team in the ACC, right?

- You do realize that the only program that would ever enjoy the egotistical attitude that tu has is Notre Dame, but the fact that your conference would require trips to Aimes, Manhattan(not the NY one), Lawrence, Lubbock, Stillwater, Waco and Morgantown will never let the Irish come close to sniffing any sort of membership since they can(and have) schedule OU and tu, but still keep Michigan, Michigan State, Navy, Stanford, USC, PItt, etc in light of being lock in to your shitty conference, right?

- You do realize that while the Champions Bowl with the SEC is a great sign of stability, that the college post season is constantly changing, and the second the 4 team playoff goes to an 8 team playoff, there is absolutely no reason for the SEC to continue playing your shitty conference, right?

- You do realize that national powers can fall in to irrelevance, and programs like FSU, Miami, and Notre Dame that all established greater dynasties than anything tu has come close to doing, have all become marginalized by having too many irrelevant and non important games on their schedule, something that is happening to OU and tu, right?

- You do realize that the irony is all of this is that tu could have avoided this all together, right?

- You do realize they could have bolstered and strengthened the Big 12 instead of trying to maximize it's own profits in light of already making more money than anyone, right?
