THIS. With a RETURNING Heisman winning QB and the best receiver and the best offensive lineman TAMU was average

Where were we average?
We led most offensive categories, apart from rushing.

what happened to your confidence? don't be so hard on your team, with that freshman qb yall have, I am sure you will be in the mix a couple years down the road.

No way. Any year we might have the stars align to be good, they will be even better for LSU and Bama.

The only competition we care about now is "Who has the biggest stadium with the most bat shite in the SEC?

its good to be grounded, but don't lose all of your confidence. No need to write the team off three years in advance.

Thank you for being nice, but three years is nothing. Ask any Longhorn in our state and they will tell you the correct amount of time to write off the A&M program is all the time you got.

Oh ... he's talking team numbers?
Well of course we were average!
(I thought we were discussing offense)
Go pull any stats book and look up measures of central tendency.
Mean scores would prob be most appropriate here.
To summarize: when you calculate the mean using "best of the best" data and "worst of the worst" numbers, you get ... you guessed it! Average.

Our offense was top 5 in the nation which is indicative of that talent. We had ZERO draft picks on defense. We scored 42 on Bama and lost...thats not an offense problem.

Ah so Sumlin only coaches the offense and the AD told him the defense is none of his business. Got it.

Got it. Sumlin still finished middle of the pack in the SEC West even with those numbers.
