Ya if Sumlin can't field a decent defense he will never win anything. Everyone knows he can put up points, but even with the best QB in their history he still couldn't even get close to winning the division.

Very true. A&M is more of a PAC 12 team or an ACC team. They don't really fit the dynamic here.

They didn't have the talent top to bottom to compete. With Texas down and brilliant recruiting Sumlin has closed the gap.

Sumlin may be the most overpaid coach in college football history.

The Ags are really starting to blossom and spread their wings. It's great that ya'll finally grew some nutts, cut the cord, and told the shorthorns goodbye. My beloved Hogs came home to the SEC 22 years ago and basically paved the way for aTm's membership into the greatest conference in the land. Yes Aggies, Yall are a weird bunch... but aTm and Arkansas share a kinship in regards to dealing with the lowdown t-sippers for too long...We have a long history together.. I know your membership into the SEC is old news but I just wanted to say that I'm glad TEXAS A$M is here and it feels like reuniting with a long lost cousin. I wish you luck in your quest for an SEC WEST title... It took Arkansas 3 long years to win one.

you know, this may be y'all's year. unlike the aggies, msu has actually won the west before.

I think you have a good chance of going 7-1 this year with your only defeat at the hands of LSU of course.

what happened to your confidence? don't be so hard on your team, with that freshman qb yall have, I am sure you will be in the mix a couple years down the road.

Every now and then, a blind hog fricks someone other than their sister.

Solid grind.

its good to be grounded, but don't lose all of your confidence. No need to write the team off three years in advance.

With a Heisman winning QB, Sumlin is consistently average in the context of the SEC West.

THIS. With a RETURNING Heisman winning QB and the best receiver and the best offensive lineman TAMU was average

Our offense was top 5 in the nation which is indicative of that talent. We had ZERO draft picks on defense. We scored 42 on Bama and lost...thats not an offense problem.

Why do people think MSU is going to be anything but average this year?? 3 sec wins against Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Arkansas by a combined total of 20 points and needed to win two of those games in overtime.
